Heather Millard - Realtor
With a husband in the military, Heather Millard knows what it means to move. In fact, it was that special moment when she brought her children to their first family home that inspired her to become a realtor. Previously a board-certified emergency nurse, Heather decided to switch to a career in real estate while living in Georgia. Then the pandemic hit, and she knew she had to stay the course to help patients with Covid. When her husband was transferred to DC, Heather decided it was time to pursue a career in real estate.
As a nurse, Heather helped people at their most vulnerable moments. Her patients trusted her implicitly to be their advocate and care for them. She learned to handle the chaos of the emergency room with patience and calm, quickly solving problems and adapting at a moment’s notice. She brings these same skills to her work as a realtor, helping her clients with not only an important investment, but an important moment in their lives. For Heather, both nursing and real estate are about building relationships and showing people that you care – it’s not just a job.
As a military family, Heather understands the stress of moving. With this empathy, Heather makes purchasing a new home as seamless as possible for all of her clients.
Heather lives in Arlington with her husband, Joe; two children, Everett and Emerson; and their cat. In her spare time, you’ll find her outside with her family or working out to stay healthy. She often returns to her hometown in Connecticut and is a graduate of the University of Connecticut. Heather also received a BSN from an accelerated nursing program at Valdosta State University.
