For several years following the turn of the century, Mandy Mills and David Getson worked independently and successfully as real estate agents in downtown Washington DC. And yet, something was missing. The independence was nice but there were times when they wanted to be part of something larger – or the business situation demanded it. In those instances they only worked harder to fill the gap but in the quiet moments they separately wondered what it was that was missing. Mandy lives in DC's Mount Pleasant neighborhood, where she enjoys taking walks in the zoo with her husband and two wee ones. David lives just north of Logan Circle and has learned a thing or two about living through the renovation of a home.

Shannon O’Farrell grew up in the suburbs of Washington, DC and has lived and worked in the district for over 7 years. She purchased a condo in the District in 2004. Throughout her home buying experience, she explored transitional neighborhoods in northwest DC. She fell in love with the diversity, the revitalization and the fast-paced vibe of Columbia Heights. With experience in property management and residential construction, Shannon felt a desire to combine this knowledge with her love of DC real estate. She joined the Mandy & David Team in the spring of 2006. With this background, Shannon provides a diversity of knowledge to her clients about the various aspects involved in finding and purchasing a new home. With over 8 years of experience in client services, Shannon has honed her organizational skills to assist her clients and her team in managing all the details of each transaction. Shannon’s favorite part of her job is assisting her clients in finding their perfect home and ensuring the entire home buying process is a seamless one. Shannon loves our city and occasionally she likes to visit the beaches of Sanibel Island and her family’s lake home in northern Michigan.

Robert considers himself a Washington native, despite being born in New York. Having grown up in the suburbs of Washington, graduating from Gonzaga College High School and being a downtown DC resident since 1997, Robert provides his clients with all of the “ins” and “outs” of DC living. His interest in real estate goes back at least 20 years, from when he first used to keep track of the homes on the market in his childhood neighborhood. With the advent of the internet, he was able to become a resource for family and friends in their real estate transactions. He finally decided to take the plunge and follow one of his greatest interests in life - selling real estate. Robert’s transition to the Mandy and David team was a natural one. He was actually their client when purchasing his own home in Dupont Circle four years ago. Through his interactions with the two of them, he knew that when the day came that he entered the real estate business, he would want to work for a team like theirs. Needless to say, he is excited to finally have that chance.
